Review of Last Meeting’s Conversation on going forward

            General Conclusions

                        The Board will set broad direction for FCC, and try to avoid

                                    managing smaller events

                        Activities and Programs will be more closely linked to the

                                    mission statement

                        New project goals should be identified and planned

                        The board should reconstitute its Subcommittees

                        Following up on developmental issues raised by FCCNE 2006                                    

                        Newsletter Issue that we distributed to FCCNY Members

                                    We have started a Developmental Issues database

                                    and Learning issues list serve

                                    New Designer- Roe Intrieri is working out wonderfully!

            National FCC Newsletter

                        Is this going out of business?

                                    Current Editor Amy Klatzkin wants to step down

                                    Joe Kelly had been doing layout and printing for this small                                             

                                    publication.  What are the options for the future with this                                     

                                    publication?

                                    Could we identify a new editor from existing FCC newsletter                                        

                                    editors across the country?

                                    Would there be interest if we offer our newsletter to other                                              

                                    chapters for a fee?

                        How do we make it available to distributors?

                                    We break even in selling the books if we sell them all

            Orphanage Assistance

                        Annual Appeal- written materials and website

                                    Focusing on tenth year of Orphanage Assistance

                                    This is Amity’s 20th anniversary as well and FOC’s 10th year

                                    $230,000 dollars to Amity this year

                                    Over a million dollars of the the years.                   

                        National Appeal Website

                                    Volunteers from NE would coordinate and run

                                    Donations could go through pay pal

                                    Makes it impersonal- Aileen can now identify donors

                                    Will it dilute our “brand”?

                                    Will it cause financial losses to us?

                        China Cares Event at NYU – Deb Levine and Aileen Koger                                                      

                                    exploring their offer of Playgroups: to what extent are these                                           

                                    a way to fundraise to FCC parents and is that a concern?

                        Asia For Kids

                                    Offering a Chinese Language Training Program

                                    Will donate a dollar for each $10 program sold

                                    Protecting Ross’ work

                                    Sending our T-Shirts and Designs to FCC AZ and others

                                    Can this be a source of funding revenue for Orphanage Asst.?

                        Expanding and improving Promotion

                                    Orphanage Assistance needs to reach beyond the                                                                     

                                    community

                                    We may not be communicating or able to “compete” with                                                          

                                    other charities

                                    More needs to be done to market our work

                                    Can all the FCC OA be combined?

                        Aileen- has suggested it is time for her to Rotate off of Board                                       

                                    Membership.  David invited her to become a Member of the                                         

                                    FCCNY Advisory Board – where she can continue to                                                     

                                    participate.

                                    Revitalizing the committee- bringing new people in
