Annual Appeal
Aileen reported on the success of the annual appeal. Appx. 12,000 envelopes were mailed to solicit donations
The national appeal raised $30,000 of which FCC NY’s share is 60%
Since the mailing in early December, another appx. $80,000 has been contributed directly to FCC NY.
Efforts are ongoing to improve on this tremendous result
National Appeal
The board wished to note special thanks to Joe Kelly Peter Herbert and Aileen Koger for their efforts
Finance
Ron Tralle is transitioning his duties as Treasurer to Kevin Matthews
Ron reviewed the current finances and 2003 projections
Projected appx $78,000 in 2003 revenues
$63,000 from membership (1800 at $35)
$4000 from store sales and $10,500 from Culture Day.
This is somewhat short of projected spending and without additional revenue the deficit will be covered by our existing surplus.
Other Issues
David reported that the FCC brochure is almost complete
The Brooklyn region will be honoring Tim Stoenner and Kathy Urbina for all of their work over the years.
The date and time will be announced. Cathy Dempsy is organizing the event.
The board is considering preparing a memory book to honor Tim and Kathy
David received a call from Michelle Marsh, NBC news co-anchor about participating in some type of news story (david?)
Next meeting will be in March. No date set.
