$50 off at Planet Han  <by Meg Gifford 7/14/2010>  (0 replys)

We only take 6 students per class to maximize attention. Sign up Now and take $50 off of tuition! Classes are filling up fast at Planet Han – a proven program to teach kids ages 2 to 12 from all backgrounds Mandarin Chinese located on the Upper West Side. We’ve added two more classes on Monday afternoons! At Planet Han, we help each child be comfortable speaking in everyday Mandarin within one year. The success of our program is based on our novel and proven teaching approach called M.A.T. – Model.Action.Talk. – where children use the language the majority of the time in the classroom. We provide you with free audio at-home support to ensure your child’s success. As the most-widely spoken language in the world and third most-widely spoken in the United States, Mandarin Chinese is a sensible choice for parents when considering a second language for your child. We only take 6 students per class, so space is limited. Sign up now and take $50 off of tuition! Learn more at www.PlanetHanChinese.com and please pass it on! We hope to see you at Planet Han this fall! Irene Sauking Coeny, Director www.PlanetHanChinese.com 212.724.2421 P.S. each student is given a Chinese name! How cool is that?

Excellent Babysitter Available in September - Part-Time or Full-Time  <by Amy 7/7/2010>  (0 replys)

Our wonderful babysitter, Barbara, has taken care of my daughter for the past 3 years, since my daughter was 14 months old. Barbara is caring and extremely energetic. She has been proactive about finding age appropriate activities and takes advantage of all the neighborhood has to offer. My daughter has made great friends through the play dates that Barbara has arranged and I have benefited from the play dates too as I have met a group of lovely parents. Barbara has been a babysitter for 15 years. Before working with us she cared for several children in Park Slope, and was with one of the families for many years. That family was also an FCC Family. My daughter will be in school full-time starting in September, so I am trying to find another family (or two) for a babysitter share with Barbara. We live in Brooklyn Heights. If you are in the vicinity and looking for a morning/early afternoon babysitter, perhaps we could work out a share where Barbara would work for you in the morning/early afternoon and for me later in the day. Or, if you need full-time care, Barbara could babysit for your child all day and my daughter could join them after school. Another alternative -- if you are in the same boat as I am, perhaps Barbara could watch 2 or 3 kids after school and so that, even though she would not be working full-time in terms of hours, she would still earn approximately a full-time salery. I am also open to any other share suggestions. It is of primary importance that Barbara finds a full time position or a share that equals full time even if it means that she will not be able to stay with us for afternoon babysitting, so if you are interested in meeting Barbara but the options I outlined above don't work for you or you don't live in Brooklyn, please contact her (or me) anyway. You can reach Barbara directly at 917-514-2191 or feel free to contact me. My email is Apricot2K @ aol.com (remove spaces). The family that she worked for long-term in Park Slope will also provide a reference for her.

The Best Sitter in the world is available!  <by CHRIS 6/29/2010>  (0 replys)

Our former Sitter of 6 years, Sadie is available for a full time position. She is loving and reliable. Under her care our daughter, now ten thrived. Sadie helped her with reading, writing, and schoolwork. She was also terrific at initiating Art projects and working in out door play time. In The course of all of these activities, she managed to keep our home tidy and organized. Most recently she has been working with a family with 2 Chinese girls, and provided them with the same wonderful care that we experienced with her. I would be happy to answer any and all questions if needed. I honestly Could not recommend anyone more highly. Please contact her directly at SadieMBrown@yahoo.com, 914 837 8134 I can be contacted at Ccurrynyc@aol.com
