Hello, my husband Sigourney Romaine, and I,Liane McAllister Romaine, are to travel to Shanghai this June to pick up our 12-year-old daughter Songying. We live in Manhattan (Upper Eastside) and have the following questions:
1) Recommendation for a good public, private or parochial school to enroll our daughter in for 7th Grade. We are not sure how strong our daughter's English is, even though she is studying it in school.
2) Recommendation for an excellent English as a Second Language tutor or small class with other Chinese children learning English.
3) Any suggestions for a fun Summer camp/activities for a school age child just arriving from China. We have heard that our future daughter is very athletic and quite artistic.
