thanks so much

My wife and I have two boys (3 and 1) the oldest of which is studying Chinese at the China Institute. We are looking for someone to augment our full time nanny with evening and weekend work that would also foster and encourage Chinese language skills with our wonderful boys. We live on the upper east side of Manhattan. Please direct your responses to jjb@barkercap.com. Thank you.

NYC Lunar New Year's Parade <by Linda Mancini 1/27/2006> (0 replys)

Just got the e-mail re the parade on Feb 5th and wanted to say that my daughter, Min La, and I went last year and had a great time. We had just arrived from China two months before so it was our first time. The parade is much larger and more spectacular than I could have ever imagined and the reception we got from the Chinese-American community was amazing and exceptionally heartwarming.
I HIGHLY recommend this event. Yes it can be cold and hopefully the great weather will continue, but regardless, it's a great event and I felt privileged to be a part of it.
Also, maybe this is just because we live downtown and on the edge of Chinatown, but I think it's really important for the Chinese-American community to see our kids and know who we are, and vice-versa.
Hope to see you there!
Linda Mancini

Hi. I am looking to speak with some single parents who have adopted from China. I am in the beginning stages of adoption and would like to talk with others about their experiences and possibly get feedback on agencies that you have used. Thanks! Laurie
