Forming a playgroup/FCC group.  <by Rey,Tina,Isabella 9/11/2005>  (0 replys)

Hello, My wife and I came home with Isabella on May 28th of this year. She was born in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, and is two weeks short of 18 months old. We would love to put together a playgroup for Isabella,so that she could have other children around her age to play with. We live in Mill Basin,a few streets away from the King's Plaza Mall. Also,we want to get together with other Brooklyn Families with Chinese Children. We could offer each other support, friendship, possibly answer questions, and of course our daughters and sons would get to meet and play together. It would be great to build up a strong group that could in turn offer support and answers to Waiting Families,as well as those thinking about adopting from China. If interested contact us at rtcaban@flash.net

Volunteers needed for a party--anyone is welcome to attend and/or volunteer, but waiting parents might find it most rewarding! The Families with Children from China-NY Halloween party is being held on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, from 3 to 5 pm, in Inwood Hill Park and Nature Center (northern Manhattan). (Full information and the signup is on this site.) We are looking for adults to help out with setup and decoration, front gate check-in, arts and crafts, games, and a costume contest. This party is normally $5 per person, but volunteers come in for free. Volunteers are needed from 1pm-3:30pm, 2:30pm-4pm, and 4-5:30pm (but are welcome to work longer shifts)!
