Families with Children from China has been making a life-changing difference in the lives of hundreds of children in orphanages across China. Since 1996 through our Orphanage Assistance Programs FCC has provided support to children who otherwise would have little hope. Working primarily with the China-based Amity Foundation, our programs have experienced tremendous growth since our first year. With the generous support of our contributors we now reach children in 40 orphanages in nine provinces.
The programs we sponsor place children with loving foster care families and provide tuition for children growing up in the orphanages to attend schools in the community. The Grandmas Program gives infants, toddlers and special needs children the care and attention of retired nurses, doctors and teachers. Through our medical sponsorships children receive critical care and surgery for life-threatening conditions, congenital problems, and serious illnesses. Our Intensive Care Nursing Teams are saving the lives of newborns and infants at risk. Orphanage conditions are improved by the purchase of much needed equipment.
