FCC needs your help -Volunteer Opportunities
We need new leadership to see that this community continues to run smoothly and is available for all of us. Current volunteers are available to help until you have confidently mastered all you need to know to be successful!
Prepares excel spread sheets downloaded from the website to send to regional leaders so that they are aware of who in their region and who has current membership. (2 hrs. once a month )
Prepares excel spread sheets downloaded from the website in December to send to the mail house to generate annual renewal notice to the membership
This important job makes sure that FCC has the revenue needed to continue operations and support regional activities. All mailing and printing is done by a commercial mail service. The form for renewal is prepared by another volunteer. All the coordinator needs to do is coordinate the data(6 hrs. in December - Early January)
Prepares post card reminder to those not renewed in April and sends to the mail house for distribution to those not renewed. (8 hrs. in April)
Supervises paid administrative assistant who is responsible for all data entry into the database which is maintained on the web site. (2 hrs. a month)
This person works with regional leadership to facilitate e-mail exchange of ideas. This person will schedule meetings for regional leadership support and education. They run the regional leaders e-mail list serve and updates the web site with regional contact information (2 hrs. per wk)
This person is the point person that regions can contact if the have questions as to how to get things done or who to speak to in the organization for help. (2 hrs. per mo.)
This person coordinates with our insurance brokerage to see that Certificates of Insurance are issued when needed for regional events. (1 hr per mo.)
Works with the membership coordinator to see that the information needed to assist with membership gets into the right regional leaders hands.
Charitable Initiatives Coordinator:
Communicates with Amity, our partner in China as to what their needs are, and how the funds we send are spent. (2 hrs every other month)
Reports back to the membership via e-mail blurbs or newsletter articles (3 hrs. 4 times a year)
Organizes appeal efforts by working with writers and layout volunteers in late summer and early fall so that our annual appeal goes to the mail house by early November. (6 hrs. per week Sept 1 – Nov 1)
Acknowledges larger donors thru personal communication via phone or e-mail. (2 hrs. a week December- March)
Supervises paid administrative assistant who will generate thank you letters required for tax purposes. ( 8 hrs. in February )
Web Site Coordinator:
This person Works with our paid web developers to add functionality to our web site. (2 hrs. per mo.)
This person updates and reprograms areas on the existing site in order to add content and functionality. (As skill level allows)
This person receives and posts board minutes from the secretary and updates news areas and posts updates from the Charitable Initiatives Coordinator (1 hr. per mo.)
This person maintains FCC facebook site and other social networking links to enable posting of content and pictures of interest to members. (1 hr per mo.)
Web Site Calendar Coordinator:
Works with the e-mail coordinator to update the web site with all events relevant to FCC members so that the calendar is up to date. This is done by setting up links to web sites and cutting and pasting into the website already existing event descriptions from the email list serve (3 hrs. per week)
Web Site Event Coordinator:
Works with the regional coordinators to set up registration pages for regional and organization wide events so that they can be sold online. This person also downloads event registration and e-mails to the regional event producers for planning and door registration (6 hrs. per month)
Coordinates with the treasurer to see that monies received thru the web site are transferred to the regions that hold the event.
E-mail List Serve Coordinator:
Logs into FCC e-mail account and edits and selects relevant content, and posts e-mail notices to the FCC e-mail list-serve administered by Mailer-Mailer – our commercial e-mail service (10 hrs per wk)
Downloads membership lists from the web site and updates the subscription list so that e-mail list serve is a benefit of paid FCC membership (2 hrs. per mo.)
Public Relations Coordinator:
Responds to inquires from outside the organization to answer questions, arrange interviews with members, and explain our adoption positive point of view.
