DATE CHANGE!

Dear CASPY Community,

Apologies for the late reply on all your inquiries about the date of the program coinciding with Easter Sunday - we originally booked the facilities way in advance and did not realize the overlap. We have been working hard with the Columbia administration to change the booking, and fortunately, we have some good news! CASPY is rescheduled now for Saturday April 7! We hope that this dates works better and hope everyone can make it. We also apologize on the oversight, and promise that it won't happen again. Here is the new registration link: https://goo.gl/forms/utjPxhSkPHJBKKR43

We hope to see you all there! More details to come, please stay tuned.

Thank you!
Nick

Dear CASPY Community,

Hello! Our names are Nicholas and Veronica, and we are thrilled to be hosting the 2018 Spring CASPY event at Columbia University! We invite you to join us for a full day of fun activities and events to create a more connected community and build cultural identity.

What is CASPY?

On the 1st of April, Columbia University's Taiwanese Students Association will be hosting our annual CASPY (Chinese Adopted Siblings Program for Youth) program. The day will consist of cultural workshops such as Arts and Crafts and Movement, group discussions, and various Columbia performance groups for the children to enjoy.

Furthermore, there will also be a parent workshop with a panel of college students who will share their experiences with their identity, which we hope parents can draw insight and support from. If there are any other families which would be interested in the program, please feel free to forward this email to them!

 - What is CASPY -
Columbia University's Taiwanese American Students Association is hosting their annual Chinese Adopted Students Program for Youth (CASPY). CASPY is a program designed to engage adopted Chinese children from the ages 6 to 13 in activities focused on Asian culture and identity. By pairing college age "big siblings" with attendees, CASPY fosters a one-on-one learning environment that uses performances, discussions, and fun to provide children with an exciting and educational exploration of their heritage. Furthermore, there will also be a parent workshop with a panel of students sharing their experiences with identity, and answering questions.
