Hello FCCNY,

We're emailing to announce an upcoming, first-time event that we are hosting at Yale on Tuesday, February 4th from 7-8:30 PMDr. Aeriel Ashlee, an assistant professor at St. Cloud State University, will be leading a workshop titled Cultivating Community for Transracial Adoptees at the Asian American Cultural Center (AACC) (295 Crown St, New Haven, CT 06510).

Dr. Ashlee has
done extensive academic work on the topics of transracial adoption and "racial authenticity", and we are so excited to welcome her to campus.

This event will be co-hosted by the AACC, CASPY, and KASY (Korean American Students at Yale) Adopted Friends and will consist of a brief lecture led by Dr. Ashlee followed by a facilitated narrative-based discussion with attending members of the community, as well as light refreshments.

We specifically invite any FCCNY members in the Teens age group to attend this event, alongside transracially adopted students within the Yale community.

Please reply to yalecaspy@gmail.com no later than January 31st, if you are interested in attending, and with how many teens are attending.

On an unrelated note, you will be hearing about CASPY Spring 2020 soon!

Thank you so much,
Yale CASPY
